Congratulations to John and Jim! Both celebrated their fiftieth birthday today at the Charter House in Rochester. John's wife, Connie was also celebrating her birthday. Guests enjoyed sloppy joes, cole slaw, veggies and dip, potato chips and cookie salad (pineapple, oranges, cool whip, cookies). Yum!
For dessert, we had Dairy Queen ice cream cake. Vanilla and chocolate ice cream with a smashed cookie layer. As shown in the photo above, Jim and John took turns cutting the cake.
Guests included Kathy (Jim's wife), Mary and Laura (Jim's kids), Aunt Ruth and Uncle Ken, Aunt Martha, Karin, David and Delores, and from the east coast: Paul and Wendy! Good timing, P&W!
Jim and Kathy brought a table hockey game, a favorite of John and Jim and all the kids growing up. We all played a few quick rounds. "Puck -- over the boards."
